Ono Grinds

I was with my mother at Uwajimaya and we were on the hunt for ONLY THE BEST tuna sashimi. We arrived late and they were closing up shop, and my mother ordered a fish sandwich even though they would need to open up the whole line to help her out.

I thought we were just there for tuna, and I didn’t want to be rude so I went to the fish counter and the lady grabbed a fish and cut off nine huge chunks of fresh otoro placing them on a plate for me.

If life were fair which it is not, I would have been allowed to eat it. It reminded me of a particular scene in Boys Over Flowers where he takes her to a fancy restaurant and they wheel out a whole tuna and start carving it… Oh. My. God.
